User Templates Library

The User Templates Library is a collection of templates stored on the server. Each user has a different Templates Library.
The templates contained in the User Templates Library are displayed in My Templates panel.

Shared Templates Library

The Shared Templates Library contains all the templates shared by users. By sharing a template from the User Templates Library, the template becomes visible for all the users.
The templates contained in this library are displayed in the Shared Templates panel.

A user can access templates from his library or those templates shared by other users.

Template actions

Add Templates

To add a Template click on the Add… button from the Templates panel

The following dialog will be displayed:

Use the Browse button to select a template. You can insert an optional description.
If a template with that name already exists, the user will be prompted to select another one and try again.
When the Add button is pressed, the template is saved in the User Templates Library.

Delete Templates

Select the template that you want to delete, click on it, and the tool tip dialog will be opened.

Use the Delete button to delete the template from the Templates Library.

A warning message will appear when you try to delete a shared template.
When deleting shared templates, the template is also removed from Shared Templates Library.

Share Templates

Select the template that you want to share in My Templates panel, click on it, and the tool tip dialog will be opened.
Use the Share button to share the template.

A shared template can be accessed by other users with the “webpublisher_templatedesigner” role from the Shared Templates Library.
Users having the “webpublisher_specdesigner” role can add shared templates to document specifications or they can use shared templates to resolve imported document specifications.

For templates that are already shared, the Share button is not visible.


Unshare Templates

Select the template that you want to remove from Shared Templates library, click on it, and the tool tip dialog will be opened.
Use the Unshare button to unshare the template.

Unshared templates can no longer be viewed by other users in the Shared Templates library.
Document specifications having templates that are no longer shared are not affected by this change. The specification designer will still be able to generate the document.

The Unshare button will be visible only for templates owned by the current user.


Update Templates

Select the template that you want to update in My Templates panel, click on it, and the tool tip dialog will be opened.
Use the Update button to update the template.

A dialog will be displayed where the user can browse for the new version of the template. After choosing the template, the user can add a short description.

A template can be updated only with a template having the same name as the original template.

The user can add a description each time the update operation is being performed.
After update, the template is replaced with the new one in My Templates Library.


Templates History

Select the template in My Templates or User Templates panel, click on it, and the tool tip dialog will be opened.
Use the History button to view the template history.

The template history table is displayed in the History panel and contains one entry for each time the template was uploaded or updated.


User Stylesheets Library

The User Stylesheets Library is a collection of stylesheets stored on the server. Each user has a different Stylesheet Library. The stylesheets contained in this library are displayed in My Stylesheets panel.

Shared Stylesheets Library

The Shared Stylesheets Library contains all the stylesheets shared by users.
By sharing a stylesheet from the User Stylesheets Library, the stylesheet becomes visible for all the users.
The stylesheets contained in this library are displayed in Shared Stylesheets panel.
A user can access stylesheets from his library or those stylesheets shared by other users.

Stylesheet actions

Add Stylesheets

To add a Stylesheet click on the Add… button from the Stylesheets panel.

The following dialog will be displayed:

Use the Browse button to select a stylesheet and insert an optional description for the stylesheet. If a stylesheet with that name already exists, the user will be prompted to select another one and try again.
When the Add button is pressed, the stylesheet is saved in the User Stylesheets Library.

Delete Stylesheets

Select the stylesheet that you want to delete, click on it, and the tool tip dialog will be opened.

Use the Delete button to delete the stylesheet from the Stylesheets Library.

A warning message will appear when you attempt to delete a shared stylesheet.
When deleting shared stylesheets, the stylesheet is also removed from Shared Stylesheets Library.

Share Stylesheets

Select the stylesheet that you want to share in My Stylesheets panel, click on it, and the tool tip dialog will be opened.
Use the Share button to share the stylesheet.

Users having the “webpublisher_specdesigner” role can add shared stylesheets to document specification outputs or they can use shared stylesheets to resolve imported document specifications.

For stylesheets that are already shared, the Share button is not visible.


Unshare Stylesheets

Select the stylesheet that you want to unshare in Shared Stylesheets panel, click on it, and the tool tip dialog will be opened.
Use the Unshare button to unshare the stylesheet.

Unshared stylesheets can no longer be viewed by other users in the Shared Stylesheets Library.
Document specifications having stylesheets that are no longer shared are not affected by this change. The specification designer will still be able to generate the document.

For stylesheets that are already shared, the Share button is not visible.


Update Stylesheets

Select the stylesheet that you want to update in My Stylesheets panel, click on it, and the tool tip dialog will be opened.
Use the Update button to update the stylesheet.

The following dialog will be displayed:

A stylesheet can be updated only with a stylesheet having the same name as the original stylesheet.

The user can add a description each time the update operation is being performed.
After update, the stylesheet is replaced with the new one in My Stylesheets Library.


Stylesheets History

Select the stylesheet in My Stylesheets or User Stylesheets panel, click on it, and the tool tip dialog will be opened
Use the History button to view the stylesheet history.

The Stylesheet history table is displayed in the History panel and contains one entry for each time the stylesheet was uploaded or updated.
